This journey takes you through the turquoise lagoon, where the calm morning sea offers ideal paddling conditions. Along the way, stop at the legendary Crystal Rock, a volcanic formation rising dramatically from the lagoon—perfect for photos. You’ll then continue to Benitiers Island, where you can relax on its white sandy shores, enjoy a swim, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Here, you’ll also be treated to a light continental breakfast, making your beach stop even more relaxing.

This experience is designed to avoid peak hours, allowing you to fully connect with the natural beauty of the lagoon in a quiet and intimate setting. With a small group and an experienced guide ensuring your safety and comfort, it’s the perfect balance of adventure and serenity.

What you’ll do

Meet & Brief (10–15 min)
Meet your guide at the launch point. Safety briefing, gear fitting, and paddling techniques. Life vests are provided.
Lagoon Paddle (30–40 min)
Cross the crystal-clear lagoon at a steady pace, enjoying the surrounding coral reef and views of Le Morne.
Crystal Rock Stop (15–20 min)
Pause at the famous Crystal Rock for photos and stories about this unique formation.
Island Landing (30–45 min)
Arrive at Benitiers Island. Enjoy a continental breakfast upon arrival, then relax, swim, or explore the island’s natural beauty.
Return Paddle (30–40 min)
Kayak back across the lagoon, soaking up the scenery.
Wrap-Up (5 min)
Gear return, debrief, and farewell. Photos or clips taken by the guide may be shared after the tour.

Participants must be in good physical shape with no arm-related medical conditions
Swimming ability required
Previous kayaking experience required
Maximum weight: 100 kg per person
Minimum age: 12 years old
Recommended maximum age: 65 years old
Tours may be adjusted or rescheduled depending on tides, currents, or weather
The guide will be the only contact person on the day of the tour before 8:00am (our office is closed from 5:30 pm to 8:30 am. You will receive the guide’s contact details upon booking or on the eve of the activity date by email (make sure to check your spams if you did not receive the email)

My first ever hike at Le Morne Brabant

Paj from Yanature was a wonderful and patient guide. It was my first trek ever and I could do it because he guided me at every step. He took us to most of the viewpoints on Le Morne Brabant and also taught us about the various plants and fauna on the way.
Great positive attitude and a v helpful guide!

Must do Waterfalls 💦

This is a must do in Mauritius! Most beautiful hike, with stunning vistas and gorgeous pools to swim in below the waterfalls. Paj was an excellent guide, had great knowledge of the fauna and flora and ensured our every (slippery) step was safe.

Great hike

Great guided tour with Rowin to the top of the mountain. Very insightful on hiking techniques and local history. Rowin was also great at chatting about life and day-to-day topic of Mauritius.
The hike is technically demanding but worth the effort. Recommend having good non slippery shoes and flexible shorts.
